I think we all were from heaven once. God sent us down to Earth with our wings that are now are rib cages. You see if our rib cages were taken out of our chest, still connected to our spine, and, spread out they could be wings. So I think we were angels from heaven put on earth by our wings but then we had sin, and other stuff, and our wings closed and caged our hearts, to never be truly free and loving as we once were. So when our wings closed and caged our heart in our chest it also closed it off from God in a way so when we die, and trust in God and go to heaven our wings open again leaving our hearts and minds open as well.
